Joan never takes responsibility; it’s always the other’s fault. Here, in this post, I share a statement of hers, in which she blames her lack of understanding/learning (tack) and growth on the ‘male’pronoun and situations! Huh?
Politically correct language changes began around the 1980s. I will give you that we all need to be aware of others, and their ‘feelings’, in our word choices. In some places it’s called ‘sensitivity training’. I’m all for equal treatment and kindness etc. but there does come a time when we have to just ‘get real’!
Personally speaking I’ve felt that, in many areas, the PC language changes has gotten out of hand and has warped our ‘collective’ sense of reality.
Example…everyone knows that there are ‘right-handed’ people and ‘left-handed’ people. It’s common to call a left-handed person a ‘leftie’ and from my decades in the dental work-environment it was an acceptable term. The…
